Hair: Guys, shave the morning of your wedding and get a haircut a week beforehand. Get rid of any hair that might cover your eyes. If you have a mustache or beard, trim and groom them so they don't look shaggy. And, trim stray nosehairs that poke out. Well-groomed hair is essential to wedding photography. Skin: If you've tried everything and you're still not happy with your skin, professional help is available. A facial isn't just for the girls - it's an option for guys too. Just make sure to do so at least one week beforehand in case you have an allergic reaction or get blotchy skin and need time to heal. Teeth: Take a look at your teeth and decide if they could use some whitening and cleaning. If it's been awhile since your teeth have been cleaned, now is the time to schedule that cleaning with your dentist so they look their best. If there is discoloration, there are over the counter bleaching products as well as your dentist. Click on this link - Your Dentistry Guide - for more information. Tans: A touch-up tan looks good, but the most common mistake is overdoing it. Over-exposed skin looks fake and does not photograph well. If you are into outdoor activities, use sunscreen - the best tan for wedding photography is the one you get when just a bit of sun peeks through the sunscreen to increase your natural melanin production. Hands and Fingernails: If you've recently done mechanical work, furniture staining, or if you use your hands in manual labor, wash grease or stains off completely with an appropriate stain remover. Same goes for the fingernails. Clip and clean them out at least one day before the wedding. Clean hands and fingernails are essential to closeup wedding photography - they will be featured in pictures of the cake cutting, portraits of you and the bride with your hands touching her face, and closeups of you two holding hands.
